Grease

Hahaha, well, I dived into another classic movie. It's funny how most of the movies back in this era ended up in song and dance. But I loved it.

John Travolta looked so young in this movie! But he was fantastic. And what about Olivia Newton-John, man did she look so young and innocent... well... until the last few scenes. And even to this day, I can recognise Stockard Channing in movies.

Basically, it's a story of a high school romance. The ups and the downs. But it was fun to watch :D

Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story (Family Guy Movie)

So damn funny! Even if you haven't seen the TV series, you need to watch this movie! It's so good!

Man, some scenes were so funny. Like the scene where Stewie jumps out the window, or when he was playing chess. Or even when Stewie is drunk... that was so damn funny! It's so good. That's pretty much all I can say! You have to watch this flick!! :D

Very short summary, Stewie wonders why he's nothing like Peter and when he sees someone on TV that resembles him... he reckons that that's his real biological father and goes to find him.

I Do (But I Don't)

Well, it's a chick flick about weddings, but it was enjoyable. Denise Richards is good to look at. LOL! And who would have thought Dean Cain is still in the business. Haven't really seen him in a while. But his profile show's he's been working heaps!

A lot of twists in this movie. Rather humourous. Basically, She plays a wedding planner who who falls for someone... and well... that's as much as I can say. Because I'll ruin the surprise if I say any more!! But it's fun to watch. Not really a complete no brainer, because you have to keep track of a few things, but it was good to watch :)

Gone in 60 Seconds

Ah, an all star cast. It was good, wasn't great, but good. I hated the villan. He was so faggy. I just didn't like him at all.

Nicolas Cage is alright, he's got the one line in the movie with Angelina Jolie that everyone loves. You know... the "boosting cars" lines ;p

Delroy Lindo was pretty good. I liked him in this movie. Robert Duvall is a classic. I like how he's like the grandpa of the operation. The guy that has all the hookups. But I really like Vinnie Jones. He's awesome. And he gets the last word. Hahahaha. You'll know what I mean when you see it.

Basically, Giovanni Ribisi's character screws up on a car jacking and his big brother comes to take over to bail him out.

Forrest Gump

Brilliant movie. Absolutely brilliant. Tom Hanks was so good. It was a touching story. I really don't know how to put it. It was just fantastic.

Sally Field was good as well. It was so sad to see her die in the movie, yes, she dies, but come on, you kinda expected it. Gary Sinise was also awesome. I loved his character. It's so good. But the person who I didn't like... was Robin Wright Penn. Even though her character was meant to be the way it was... I just didn't like her at all.

But it was a brilliant movie. The stories, the adventures he goes through, he's like a real life Homer Simpson. Good things happen.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

I love this movie. I know it's heaps old, but it's awesome. Matthew Broderick is a legend! I love it! I love how he organised everything and how he made everything possible. It's so good. I want to be as good as that!!

Alan Ruck was also really cool. His expressions when he's in shock were gold! It was so awesome! I loved the Ferrari scene as well. That was good. And the whole dance/song thing in the street. I loved it. It's a classic. Basically, it's about a guy, Ferris, who skips a day of school to go have fun in the city. The way he does it... he fakes a sickness. You definitely need to watch it. Well, to see how everything falls together :D

Deuce Bigalow - Male Gigalow

Rob Schneider is hilarious!! This movie was hell funny. And what kind of pimp daddy hooks up his gigalow with the girls that he did. That was so bizarre. Eddie Griffin was so weird. Especially when he ate the food that fell in the spa.

"Steak, did anybody say steak?" Hahahaha. And the fake leg... HAHAHA!! I love it. It's hilarious.

One thing I do know... when I go into a pet store and they have snails... I'll ask for the cold ones... the ones at the bottom of the tank!! But basically, this story is about a guy who cleans pools for a living and screws up at one guy's apartment and needs to make money to repair a fish tank. So.. he goes into the business. Funny how things turn out :) You need to watch and see.

Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead

Ah, one of my favourite movies. I mean, okay, I don't like Christina Applegate anymore, but she was pretty good in this movie. It's hilarious, a mother goes away to get away from her nightmare children and she hires a babysitter for the duration of her holiday, only thing is, one of the kids... his room... completely freaked her out to death. Literally. She died.

And to get rid of the body, the kids transported her to a nursing home. Only thing they didn't realise was that she was carrying all her money on her. So they are broke. What do they do? Fake a resume and land an executive job. Hahaha.

It was good. Rather weird seeing David Duchovny in such a movie as well as Jayne Brook. Though, Danielle Harris was really cute ;p And who would think Josh Charles was in this movie. But it was good. A little lame yes, only because it's so old, but good :)

Dude Where's My Car?

Absolutely hilarious!! It was definitely the dumbest movie I've seen in a while. Hahahaha. Seann William Scott is awesome. I mean, he's got the face that makes him look so damn funny.

I don't like Ashton Kutcher all that much. Sometimes he's just too goofy and looks waaaay too weird. What I didn't realise was that Jennifer Garner was in this movie! Man did she look really cute!!

But there were so many hilarious scenes in this movie. Like the tattoo scene, and the bubble wrap suits and even the whole scene with Fabio sitting in the car next to them. Hahahaha. That was so damn funny. They were fully at it! Gross but funny!!

If you're after an absolute no brainer to just tune out, this one is definitely for you!! :D

Save the Last Dance

Ohh, I loved this too. It's kinda like the opposite to Finding Forrester. This time, it's a white girl who enters into a black college.

Julia Stiles plays Sara, the girl who lost her mum in a car accident and has issues carrying out her dream to be a ballet dancer. However, after meeting Derek, played by Sean Patrick Thomas, she has a change in heart. But through Derek, Sara learns to regain her confidence and adapt to a new style of dance into her ballet.

It was a good movie. It shows her hardships and what she had to go through. It also shows how people should be able to coexist regardless of race. I liked it. It as hip hop happenin! :P But it does go through one major thing... "choice". What people "choose" to do.

Finding Forrester

Fantastic! Absolutely Fantastic!

Basically, a black boy enters into a white school and is faced with the alienation from his teacher who refuses to believe he's as good as he is in English literature.

Rob Brown, who plays Jamal, finds himself a mentor in writing when he supposedly tries to rob the guy through a dare. And who is it that he tries to rob? Well, it's none other than Sean Connery, who plays a brilliant writer who wrote one book and never wrote again.

You see how Jamal changes and how he copes with racism and a jealousy. It's a really touching story. Just awesome. I love the term "constipated" now... only because it's used in a very very clever context!

The Dukes of Hazzard

I absolutely loved it!! I'm sure you're all thinking, "yeah... he's a guy... it's cause of Jessica Simpson". Well... actually, no, it was an awesome movie. So fun and happening!! Oh... and good eye candy too :P

People say that Jessica Simpson's acting was poor... but it wasn't that bad. I dunno what you're all on about!! Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott are bloody hilarious!! I think they made the perfect duo for this movie!

And Burt Reynolds. Definitely the right guy for the job. He looked the part so well. Basically, he's looking to strip mine the town of Hazzard and the boys are out to stop him, with a little help of course! It's super fun! Fast paced! Just awesome! You need to watch it! :D

The One

Hmm, okay, one of Jet Li's poorer movies.

The story was a little weak and a little too silly. I mean, the best part in the entire movie, was seeing all the combination of Jet Li's... that was hilarious! But even the fight scenes weren't all that impressive.

Jason Statham wasn't all that good either. I mean, I didn't even realise it was him, but he did sound like he could barely talk properly... The special effects were alright, but I think I was expecting a lot from this movie that just didn't happen. It just needed a better script. The dialogue in this movie was just so damn weak!

What's the Worst That Could Happen?

Hilarious!!

Danny DeVito is so cool. Hahahaha. To think that a crook got robbed when he just broke into a house. That's hilarious! It's one of those day old jokes that people tell and always hear about, but when you actually see it, it's so damn funny.

Martin Lawrence places the crook who gets robbed when he's performing a robbery. And because of that, he shamed by his peers so he sets out to get back what's rightfully his and reclaim his pride. The stuff that these two get up to... It's definitely worth watching!! Especially when you see who Danny DeVito hangs out with when he's not with his wife :D

The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle

I loved it. Even though it was very kiddy and a little lame at parts, I still love it.

Piper Perabo is so damn cute in this movie. And man, seeing Robert De Niro like that cracked me up!! Rene Russo is like the perfect Natasha! And Jason Alexander was fantastic!

I thought it was cool seeing Rocky and Bullwinkle in 3D. The story was a little weak, but you know, it wasn't too bad. Bad guys come out of the TV... so the Good Guys get pulled out to help combat them...

I just love seeing childhood cartoon characters come to life and still maintain their wit and personalities.

Notting Hill

Bugger! Bugger! Bugger! Bugger! ~Opsie Daisy~

Hahahaha!! I don't think I'll ever get used to the pommy jargan, but it was quite funny. Julia Roberts plays an actress in this movie who's constantly watched by the media and when she gets involved with a no body... namely Hugh Grant, things start getting a little out of hand.

So in otherwords, a tale of someone famous falling for an ordinary guy and being scruitinized for it. It wasn't a bad movie. I thought it was quite good. Though, I'm tempted to watch the movie again and count the number of times the word "Bugger" is used! Heheehehe.

I think it was just trying to show the world how tough it is to be a celebrity. (Well, that and all the lovely dovely stuff...)

Lost in Space

I thought it was okay. It wasn't super fantastic or anything. I didn't actually watch the TV series before I started to watch this which may have explained why I may not have liked it all that much, but it was okay.

It's interesting to see Matt LeBlanc play a role that's not a comedic character. William Hurt was alright... but I think I didn't really like him all that much in this movie. And yes, who can forget Lacey Chabert. I find her way of speaking irritating! Heather Graham just doesn't do it for me either...

Though, I did think Gary Oldman was really good. He was so sinister and evil looking, he just suited the part very well!

The special effects weren't all that impressive... I guess if you liked the TV series, you might enjoy this movie... otherwise... I dunno... it wasn't all that impressive.

Welcome to Mooseport

Hmm, well, it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be...

Basically, Ray Romano plays a person who's in a small town, running for mayor unopposed. However, when the president (Gene Hackman) pops into town and realises it would be a great publicity stunt to run for mayor, he does.

But it's not that simple. They are both interested in the same girl (Maura Tierney)... well... she was Ray's girlfriend in the movie... but she was irritated that he has never popped the question. So she takes some matters into her own hands... after speaking with the president's secretary that is... played by Marcia Gay Harden. Well, it was good to see Fred Savage in a movie... but he was so pathetic... it was funny ;p

So basically... a story of love and a story of wacky politics. Silly, but mildly entertaining.

The Notebook

Wow, what a fantastic movie.

Yes, it's a chick flick, but it's one of those really heart warming ones. You don't need to know how they ended up where they were, but the beginning of their lives. I mean, you can pick up what's going on as soon as you watch it, but it's learning what happens that's intriguing.

Basically, it starts off with them being really old, in a nursing home, one with the inability to retain her memory, and the other, still deeply in love. He's reading the story of how they met and how they came to be, but to a point where it's just a story, unless she's able to remember it. Then all the pieces will fall together.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams were perfect for the role. So free spirited and so true to their feelings. You can see their emotions. One person I really didn't like... was o'l soilder boy! You know... cyclops from Xmen... James Marsden... I so dislike him. He just looked so out of place...

But it was a beautiful story! Definitely worth watching!!

Maid in Manhattan

Ah, another one of those Jennifer Lopez where she's in some broken relationship and she's the victim and everyone should be feeling sorry for her and the way her current life is in the movie...

Why do I subject myself to these movies?? Maybe I'm just super biased towards her. Fair enough, it wasn't THAT bad. There were some fun elements in it and it was slightly enjoyable.

Basically, it's about a single mum who's working in a hotel, trying to make management. Ralph Fiennes was quite charming, however, I really dislike Stanley Tucci... he just annoys me a little... well... in this movie anyway... but Bob Hoskins is always fun to watch. Hehehe

Well, it was okay... but still... she's always the one that just has it hard done by!

View From the Top

It was an alright movie. It started off a little slow... And I'm started to dislike Christina Applegate a lot...Gwyneth Paltrow didn't look herself either. It looked like she had a fake tan on in the beginning and it was just weird (well okay, i missed like the first 10mins... but still).

Candice Bergen... it was funny to see her as the role model. And who could forget Mike Myers. What a clown. And the things he does with his eyes. So weird. But it was funny. It was weird to see how Christina's character was not busted way before she was dobbed in.

But I have to say, Gwyneth Paltrow looked mighty fine in this movie. The outfits and the perfect hair. And man, did she get a figure or what! Very nice indeed! And the outtakes at the end were funny! Basically, it's about her character on a journey to reach for the skies. To be the best, but she ends up being backstabbed and fights for what she rightfully should have... at the cost of yet another thing. Job... or boyfriend (played by Mark Ruffalo)... One of those decisions. But it's an alright movie. Should give it a go... if not for a perve ;p

The Longest Yard

I loved it! It was a little weird to see them kill of a character so soon... and yes... I will spoil it... because most of you probably won't miss him... but I couldn't believe that they killed off Chris Rock so early!!! I would have thought he'd at least last until the end of the movie!!

I did find the movie a little surprising though. Adam Sandler doesn't really have a footballer's build. Even if he hasn't been playing in several years. But he was funny and I thought that it was a fantastic movie.

It's been a while since I've seen Burt Reynolds in a movie. Man has he aged. But he's still got it! And everytime I see James Cromwell, all I can think of is him saying "that'll do pig, that'll do" LOL! I thought he portrayed his character very well! They managed to get a lot of real football and basketball players. And to see Nelly in a film, man, the way he was running, looked as if he was a natural! Running from the cops or something ;p

It was good. Terry Crews must love doing the robot. I've seen him do it in 2 films already. And he loves playing the weird characters. It was cool to see so many WWE/WWF/Nitro characters in the movie. Interesting enough to see only 1 on the underdog's team, mainly Bill Goldberg. Kevin Nash was hilarious! Hahaha! And Steve Austin was just Stone Cold! Man, it was pretty funny!

And of course, a movie can't just be about guys... There's always 1 chick involved... at least... and that was Courteney Cox. But it wouldn't be an Adam Sandler movie without appearances from his friends. Michael Papajohn and Rob Schneider. They are always in his movies. Good to see! :P

Definitely a fun movie to watch!

Radio

One of those heart warming movies that inspire you to do your best regardless of your circumstances. Radio, a nickname given to the character played by Cuba Gooding Jr. is a person who's somewhat retarded. He has problems and no one really gave him a chance. Instead, they outcasted him and let him wander the streets alone day in day out.

Ed Harris, who plays a football coach, took it upon himself to educate the boy and take care of him. He taught him football... basketball and how to live with others. It was based on a true story and it's an inspiring movie because Radio inspires the people around him to be the best that they can be.

It also shows the ugliness in competitive sport and how people get outcasted and picked upon. Yet, acts of kindness will change the way one sees another. It's a touching movie. I definitely recommend it.

Mysterious Skin

A truly twisted and bizarre movie! It was one of those where I would have never pictured the actors doing. Basically it's about a boy who was involved in sexual intercourse at a very young age... and with another man...

From then... he's become a homosexual and performs sexual favours for money. But during his childhood years, he also performed acts if indiscretion to fellow friend to shut him up from placing fireworks in his mouth and launching them. Very twisted. The scenes are somewhat graphic, not revealing, but graphic enough to make you squirm.

But when both kids grow up, their minds are so messed up that they see things in a different light. They treat things as if it were normal to be doing these sorts of things. Very... interesting yet disturbing movie.

I would have never pictured Joseph Gordon-Levitt to play this sort of role. Elisabeth Shue played the mother who wasn't really always there... And then there's Michelle Trachtenberg who had a small role in the film. The girl who was pretty much the girl next door who tried to help Joseph's character out of his ways.

If you're up for getting seriously warped... watch this film...

Kung Phooey

OMG, absolutely hilarious!

This movie uses Chinese people to pay out the Chinese... and all the stupid kung fu movies that's ever happened. Sterotypes, corny lines, cheezy come backs and some bad jokes makes this movie so damn funny.

Sure, most of it makes you go "OMG... WTF" but it was still funny!

The storyline was crap... and well... you won't believe half the stuff that gets onto it anyway.

But if you want to hear a lot of accents and some funny moments. You might want to watch and see how it went ;p

Hope Floats

Well, this was on TV the other day and I have to say... I didn't think it was all that good.

Sandra Bullock did look good though! I just didn't think the story was all that nice. Harry Connick Jr. was just there as eye candy for the chicks. He didn't really add much to the flick.

Basically, a wife finds out that her husband is having an affair on a talk show and she moves back to her home town. Her daughter is caught up in the messy divorce and blames her mother (played by Sandra Bullock) who is trying to deal with everything.

On top of the divorce, various other things happen in the home town and she just has to fight her way through it all. Hoping that everything will be fine.

And at the end, as do all sappy movies have... she manages to stay afloat and hold onto the last vestiges of hope.

Varsity Blues

I liked it. I thought the movie was great. Only thing I didn't like... were the stupid fake accents! And they were crap accents too!! James Van Der Beek had the worst accent of all! It was interesting because none of these guys really had that buff build to be a good football player. It looked as if they would get slaughtered if they were to get hit. Maybe it's cause I'm so used to see Aussie Football that these guys just look smaller...

Amy Smart looked so young! But I still don't reckon she's all that. I think Jon Voight played an awesome coach, as in, he portrayed the evilness within him and the cunningness that made him do what ever it took to win. But I don't like him as an actor... dunno why... I just don't.

Paul Walker was alright. Funny when he was caught with his pants down doin Ali Larter in the laundry room! Hahahaha!! So funny!! Scott Caan was hiliarious!! Stealing the cop car and being in the car with those naked chicks. Dang!! :D

It's a good movie. You just have to pretend they aren't speaking with dodgy accents!!

I Heart Huckabees

What a truely bizarre movie.

You really need your brain switched on to follow this movie. Basically it's about people investigating their lives and coincidences. Existential Detectives. So weird! Jason Schwartzman plays a guy who hires these detectives to investigate someone who he's bumped into 3 times. At the same time, he's campaigning for one of those political events only to have his competitor, played by Jude Law, do the same thing.

Then you have the truly bizarre characters... like Mark Wahlberg's character who is anti everything. It's a very hard movie to describe because everyone is all over the place. I like the detective characters played by Lily Tomlin and Dustin Hoffman. I thought they were great. I loved how they explained things and made things look out of place.

And wrapping someone up in a bag so they can get into the zone was truly bizarre!

Definitely worth watching. Just a really interesting movie!

Assault on Precinct 13

I liked it. I thought it was a brilliant movie.

What an interesting start! Though, I thought it was silly that they used a cop that the person they were investigating would recognise. I guess that's the problem with going under cover... once your cover is blown and you attend trials... that's the end of your career in that field.

One thing I found strange about this movie... did they ever mention Precinct 13?? I swear I heard Precinct 21 a lot, but not 13...

I thought Ethan Hawke was pretty good. Very calm and collected. Ja Rule plays yet another criminal. It seems as if that's the only type of role he can get. I really like Maria Bello though. Too bad what happens to her character, but I thought she was quite good. And come on... Drea de Matteo... would you be a police officer looking like that??

Laurence Fishburne was really good though. I liked how he handled the situations he was in.

But basically, it's a story about dirty cops. Interesting to see how everything unravels!

Who's Your Daddy

Hahaha. I loved it. Sure it's cheezy and lame and stuff, but it was awesome.

A high school kid who pretty much has nothing going for him... ends up inheriting millions when his biological parents die. On top of his money, he inherits the "heaven" empire... an adult magazine company!! Chris, played by Brandon Davis, gets instant fame and fortune, but it all goes to his head. And without him knowing it... his uncle and no good lawyer are up to no good!

His jackass of a friend, Adam, played by Charlie Talbert, ruins the movie for me. He's such a loser and his actions and delivery. So wrong. I really liked Justin Berfield though. He played the perfect character. The annoying brother. Hahaha. Kinda like his other roles huh? :P

And who can forget the hotties? Marne Patterson. Dang did she look fine!! Christine Lakin, even though she plays the news paper geek, she's still hot. And Ali Landry... Hubba hubba hubba!

Kadeem Hardison is cool as well. I thought he was an awesome body guard. :D

It's definitely a movie for the guys! A good perve session. Hehehehe.
