The Notebook

Wow, what a fantastic movie.

Yes, it's a chick flick, but it's one of those really heart warming ones. You don't need to know how they ended up where they were, but the beginning of their lives. I mean, you can pick up what's going on as soon as you watch it, but it's learning what happens that's intriguing.

Basically, it starts off with them being really old, in a nursing home, one with the inability to retain her memory, and the other, still deeply in love. He's reading the story of how they met and how they came to be, but to a point where it's just a story, unless she's able to remember it. Then all the pieces will fall together.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams were perfect for the role. So free spirited and so true to their feelings. You can see their emotions. One person I really didn't like... was o'l soilder boy! You know... cyclops from Xmen... James Marsden... I so dislike him. He just looked so out of place...

But it was a beautiful story! Definitely worth watching!!

  • It wasn't the tear jerker I thought it would be. It was quite good.

I did find it strange how he managed to build the entire house by himself. His Dad died... so he had no help at all!!

  • Hahaha. True true, but man, he was a little degranged remember!!!

But remember this, it didn't take him all that long!! You would think it would take so much longer than what he spent to build the entire house plus the furniture... and where did he get the money to live if he wasn't working??

    (I guess he sold furniture)

  • Its possible to build a house very fast, we didnt see him build it so guess is that he might have had some help as he was working in a constructio yard himself if i remember correctly.

the money?? no idea, prolly his dads when he died!

  • That's where I'm sceptic.. I don't think his dad had all that money... esp if they sold their own home to get a LOAN on this one...
